THE ANT AND THE DOVE

     THE  ANT  AND THE  DOVE
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
An ant resided on the bank of a river. It was a sweltry hot day.The ant felt thirsty and it went to the river to quaff water.Unfortunately it slipped into the water. It tried hard but could not get out of the water. On the bank there was a tree and a dove dwelled on it.The dove was moved to see the pathetic and pitiable condition of the ant.It threw a leaf into the water. The ant clambered on the leaf and came safe to land.
Some days later,a hunter came to that place and saw the dove on the tree.He wanted to shoot the dove and took aim at it with his gun.The ant saw all this. It came and bit with its full force the hunter on the leg.The hunter jumped;he missed his aim and the dove flew away.
The and did a very good thing. The dove saved the ant's life once. Now the ant saved the life of dove.
